    Emails NearField sends you

NearField emails you about four things: getting started, your Marker orders, your trial and plan, and what your pages collect. Here is every one, when it goes, and how to stop the ones you can stop.

    Getting started

    EmailWhen it arrives
WelcomeOnce, when you first save your account with an email address. It comes from Alex, and a reply reaches a person at hello@getnearfield.com.
A check-inBetween day 2 and the end of your first week: a short note from Alex asking how your page is going, sent only if we have not emailed you much already.
Your draft is one step from liveA day after you save a draft with something in it, if nothing is published yet.
Put your page where people can tap itA day after your page goes live with no Markers, no order and no checkout that week. It shows three designs picked for your kind of place. If you have already looked around the Shop, it waits three days instead.
Finish your orderAbout an hour after you leave a Marker checkout without paying, and once more the next day. Your cart is saved, and the button opens it again. Nothing is sent once you have paid, or after a week.
These five share one limit: never more than four emails in any seven days. Every one has a one-tap unsubscribe at the bottom.

    Marker orders

Each order sends three emails: a confirmation the moment you pay, a note when we start preparing it, and a shipping email with the tracking number. Each one shows a picture of every design you ordered, so you can check the faces at a glance.

The confirmation links to Your Orders, where you can point each Marker at a page while the order is being prepared. See shipping and what arrives.

    Your trial and your plan

    EmailWhen it arrives
Your 14-day trial startedThe day it starts, with the dates and what happens on day 14.
Your trial ends soonOn day 11, three days before day 14. It names the plan that will start, its price and why, with one-tap buttons to keep it, switch to Starter where that fits, or cancel. If no card is saved yet, it asks for one.
Your plan has startedOn day 14, when the plan starts and the card is charged.
Your trial ended, nothing was chargedOn day 14, when what is live fits the free plan.
Your pages are still liveIf a card is declined, is missing, needs your bank to confirm the payment, or you chose not to start a plan. The blocks above the free plan are hidden from visitors, and the email has a button to restore them.
Buying or changing a plan on the website sends a confirmation too.

    What your pages collect

    • Requests. A Request block set to Straight to me emails each request to your account address the moment a visitor taps, with the room or table number in it, as well as pushing it to the NearField app. See booking and requests.
    • The weekly digest. On Growth and Enterprise, and during the trial, a weekly email sums up who your pages met.
    • Leads. A Lead Capture block with Send to the NearField app on, or a Name, Email or Phone Capture block with Notify me on, emails you a copy of each lead with every field the visitor filled in. Reply to it and your reply goes to the address they gave. See Lead Capture in depth.
    • Everything else waits in Audience, and can push to the NearField app on your phone. See where the results go.
    • To stop these for one Experience, mute it under Account → Notifications → By Experience. That stops its pushes and its emails.

    Signing in

Codes to save a new account, sign-in links, password resets and the order lookup link from Your Orders arrive only when you ask for one, and each works once. If one does not arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then ask again.

I unsubscribed. Will I still hear about my trial?

Yes. The trial, plan and order emails still go, because they are about a charge or a delivery. Unsubscribing stops the getting-started emails.

Can I reply to these emails?

Yes. Replies to the welcome, the check-in and the reminders reach hello@getnearfield.com, where a person reads them.

Which address do they go to?

The email on your account. Order emails go to the address given at checkout, which is filled in with your account's email when you are signed in.
