Free tool
Free QR code generator
Make a QR code for a website, Wi-Fi, menu, or contact card. Add your logo, pick your colors, download PNG or SVG. The destination is encoded straight into the code, so nothing redirects through us, nothing tracks your customers, and nothing expires.
Style
100% free. Enter your name + email once to download.
Turn this into a NearField Experience
Make the destination editable, track scans, and add menus, forms, or media - without reprinting the code.
What you get, and what you don't
No redirect
Your destination is encoded into the pattern itself. A scan goes straight there, with no hop through NearField in the middle.
No scan tracking
Because there is no redirect, there is nothing for us to count. We never see who scanned your code, when, or from where.
No expiry
Static codes have no switch to flip off. Yours keeps working for as long as the page, network, or contact behind it does.
No forced watermark
The center badge starts as the NearField mark. Swap in your own logo or remove it in one click, then download exactly what you see.
Free, with no account to create and no card to enter. We do ask for a name and email once, before your first download, and then never again on this device.
Upgrade - free
Print it once. Update it forever.
The QR you just downloaded is static - the destination is baked into the pattern. If your menu, link, or campaign ever changes, you reprint. Build a free NearField Experience and the same printed code becomes a dynamic redirect you control: change the destination anytime, see scan analytics, add content blocks - all without a new QR.
Free to build. No credit card. Your first Experience is on us.

Static QR code vs dynamic QR code - which do you need?
The QR you just generated is static. The destination is encoded directly into the pattern. That's perfect when the destination never changes - a Wi-Fi password, a permanent landing page, a contact card. It's a problem the moment you want to swap menus, update an event link, or move the page to a new URL.
A dynamic QR code points at a short redirect you control. The printed code stays the same forever. The destination can change every day, every week, or in real time. You also get scan analytics - what most marketing teams actually want from a QR code in the first place.
| Static QR | Dynamic QR (NearField) | |
|---|---|---|
| Edit destination after printing | No - pattern is locked | Yes - change anytime, same printed code |
| Track scans | No | Yes - opens, locations, repeat visitors |
| Add content blocks | Single redirect only | Menus, forms, media, donation, vCard, anything |
| Add an NFC tap option | No | Yes - same tile, tap or scan |
| Cost | Free | Free to build, pay only for physical Markers |
When a static QR isn't enough, build an Experience
Drop your URL into the NearField builder and you get an editable, trackable page on its own short link - plus the option to make it physical with an NFC + QR Marker.
Editable forever
Change the destination, the menu, the prices, the campaign - without reprinting a single code.
Real analytics
See scans, taps, locations, and repeat visitors. The data most QR generators don't give you.
Becomes a Marker
Order a three-inch NFC + QR tile that lives in your space. One tap, no camera.
Launch offer
QR is the start. Markers are the finish.
A NearField Marker is a small, premium tile with your QR code and an NFC chip built in. Guests can scan or tap - whichever they prefer. Update what they see anytime from your phone.

QR code FAQ
- Does this QR code redirect through NearField?
- No. The destination is encoded directly into the pattern, so a scan opens it straight away with nothing in between. That is also why the code keeps working if NearField is not involved at all.
- Do you track scans on the QR code I make here?
- No. There is no redirect to count a scan at, so we have no scan data - not a total, not a location, not a timestamp. If you want scan analytics, that is what a dynamic NearField Experience adds, and it is a deliberate, separate choice.
- Does the QR code expire?
- No. A static code has nothing to switch off or renew. It stops working only if the page, network, or contact it points at goes away.
- Is there a watermark on the download?
- Nothing is stamped on the file that you cannot control. The center badge starts as the NearField mark, and you can replace it with your own logo or remove it in one click before you download the PNG or SVG.
- Do I need an account or an email address?
- No account, and no card. We do ask for a name and email once, before your first download, and then never again on that device. Building the code, styling it, and previewing it need nothing at all.
- Can I edit a QR code after it's printed?
- Not a static QR code - the pattern encodes the destination directly. If you want to change where the code goes after printing, you need a dynamic QR code. NearField turns the QR into a redirect you control: same code, new destination, anytime. That is the one case where a redirect is the point.
- What size should I print my QR code at?
- Rule of thumb: 1 cm of QR for every 10 cm of scanning distance. A code on a table card scans from arm's length, so 2 to 3 cm works. A poster across a room needs 10 cm or larger. Always test before printing in bulk.
- Can I add my own logo to the QR code?
- Yes - upload a center logo and pick Small, Medium, or Large. The generator sizes the logo against the code's own module grid and switches error correction to High for you, so it stays scannable.
- What's the difference between QR codes and NFC?
- QR codes need a camera and decent light. NFC just needs the phone held near a chip - no scanning, no camera. NearField Markers include both on the same tile, so guests use whichever they prefer.
