Orders go to United States addresses. We say orders ship in two business days and we do not quote a transit time on top of that, because the carrier owns that half and we would only be guessing.
What is in the box
- The Markers. Three inches square, UV-resistant, no power and no screen. Mount them indoors or outdoors.
- An NFC chip and a printed QR code on each one, unless you turned the QR off in the design.
- Mounting adhesive, included.
- A unique code per tile, printed into the design and paired to the chip inside.
- A six-character PIN on the reverse of each Marker, under the NearField mark. You need it once, to register the Marker.
Tracking an order
- Order received
- Paid and queued. This is where an order sits for most of its short life.
- Being prepared
- We are printing the faces and pairing each one to a chip.
- Shipped
- In the carrier's hands. A tracking number appears on the order once we have one.
- Delivered
- The carrier has confirmed delivery.
In-flight orders also appear on the Markers page under On the way, with the same status and tracking, so you do not have to go looking for them.
When the box arrives

Register each Marker with the PIN on its back.
See Registering a Marker. If they are all going to the same Experience, the flow keeps your selection between tiles.

Name them for where they are going.
Do this before they leave the desk. Once they are on walls, a nameless tile is a scavenger hunt.

Dry-place before you peel.
Walk the space and hold each tile where you think it goes. Mounting a Marker is the full method.

Tap each one after mounting.
One tap per tile proves the chip, the link and the placement together, and it takes a minute for a whole floor.
A Marker arrived damaged or will not read. What now?
We replace it. Every Marker ships tested, and if one does not work we send another, no questions. Email hello@getnearfield.com with the order reference.
Can I change the destination while an order is being prepared?
Yes, up to a point. Your Orders lets you plan a destination per Marker until we assign physical tiles to the order, after which you point them from the Markers page instead.
Do all the Markers in one order arrive together?
Yes. An order ships as one parcel.
Is there anything else in the box I need?
No instructions to keep, no power supply, no tools. The tile and its adhesive are the whole product.
