Getting to it
Your Orders sits outside the dashboard. Signed in, it lists your orders straight away. Signed out, it shows an email lookup panel instead of bouncing you to a sign-in screen.
- 1
Open Your Orders.
From the confirmation page after checkout, or directly.
- 2
Enter the email you paid with, if you are signed out.
The reply is the same for every address, whether or not it has orders. The page will not tell a stranger who our customers are.
- 3
Follow the link in the email.
It works once and runs out after about an hour. Ask for another if it lapses.
- 4
Set a password while you are in.
Offered as Keep access to your Markers. It converts the checkout account into a normal one and saves the email round trip next time.
What an order card shows
- Product and date
- Intro 3-Pack or a count of Markers, with the date and the total.
- Status
- Order received, Being prepared, Shipped or Delivered, with carrier and tracking number once we have one.
- Shipping address
- As given at checkout.
- Reference
- A short code to quote in an email to us.
- The per-Marker plan
- One row per Marker in the order, with its design, its name, and either the Experience it will open or Not pointed yet.
Pointing each Marker before it ships
While an order is still being prepared, you can decide what each Marker will open. There are three routes, all from the Point it button on a Marker row.
- Point it at an Experience you have already built: a dropdown of yours, then save.
- Build a new Experience or set up an Action: the same template picker the dashboard uses. When you come back, NearField asks by name whether to link it to that Marker.
- Send it to a link you already have: a menu, a booking page, a form. We create a published Experience that forwards there, so you still get the taps counted.
Example
Harbour Point Aquarium plans ahead
Harbour Point orders eight Markers on a Monday and spends Tuesday building eight tank Experiences. From Your Orders they point each row at the right tank before the parcel has left us, so on Thursday the install is adhesive and PINs only, with no decisions left to make on the floor.
I never made an account. Can I still see my order?
Yes. That is exactly what the email lookup is for.
The lookup email has not arrived.
Check the spam folder, and check you used the address you paid with rather than the one you usually sign in with. The page gives the same reply either way, so it cannot tell you which one was right.
Can I change the shipping address after ordering?
Not from the page. Email hello@getnearfield.com quickly: orders ship in two business days.
Why does a Marker row say Not pointed yet?
Because nothing has been chosen for it. It is not an error and it does not hold up the order; an unpointed Marker just shows a holding page until you link it.
