Business card QR code questions
- What should a business card QR code link to?
- Either a vCard (so people save your contact details with one tap) or a single-page digital profile with your photo, role, links, and a contact button. A NearField Experience does both in one tap.
- Does this business card QR code redirect through NearField?
- No. The destination is encoded directly into the pattern, so a scan opens it straight away with nothing in between. That is also why the code keeps working if NearField is not involved at all.
- Do you track scans on the business card QR code I make here?
- No. There is no redirect to count a scan at, so we have no scan data - not a total, not a location, not a timestamp. If you want scan analytics, that is what a dynamic NearField Experience adds, and it is a deliberate, separate choice.
- Does the business card QR code expire?
- No. A static code has nothing to switch off or renew. It stops working only if the page, network, or contact it points at goes away.
- Is there a watermark on the download?

- How big should a QR code on a business card be?
- At least 1.5 cm (about 0.6 inches) square. Cards are scanned at very short range, so this is plenty. Leave a clear quiet zone around the code.
- Can I update the QR code on cards I've already printed?
- Only if the code points to a destination you control. A dynamic QR (a NearField redirect) lets you change job title, links, or photo without reprinting a single card. The free code above is static, so what you print is what it says forever.
