The Inclusion Bar controls
- Language Translation is now the Translate control, marked with a text glyph.
- Visual Impairment Controls are now Adjust: text size, high contrast, cookie settings and Forget me.
- Text-To-Speech is now Listen, still switched on per Experience in that Experience's Settings tab.
Plans and services
Premium is not a plan name any more. There are four tiers (Free, Starter, Growth and Enterprise), and what you get is listed against each on the pricing page rather than bundled into one word. Your Account page shows which one you are on.
The named service packages that used to sit alongside Premium are covered in what is not here yet. They are not renamed; they are not here.
Words that are new
- Dashboard
- The workspace you land on after signing in: your Experiences, and the nudges telling you what is worth doing next.
- Action
- A block, or a whole Experience, whose job is to finish something in one tap rather than to say something. Wi-Fi, directions, a call, a booking, a payment, a waiver.
- Memory
- What an Experience remembers about a visitor (a name, a room number, a choice), so a second visit is not identical to the first.
- Project
- A grouping of Experiences for one place or one property. This is what replaces asking us to split your devices between organisations.
- Marker Studio
- Where a Marker's printed face is designed. It replaces sending artwork to us for a custom overlay.
- Audience
- Everyone your Experiences have met, and everything they have told you. 42Kites had nothing like this.
Can I still call them SmartLinks?
In conversation, of course. In the product, on invoices and in this help centre they are Markers, so searching for the old word will not always find what you need.
Is a Marker the same physical thing as a SmartLink Card?
The one on your wall is literally the same object. A Marker ordered from NearField is the current form factor: a three-inch, UV-resistant square with a chip inside and a printed code, with mounting adhesive included.
What happened to the module grid?
It became the block picker, opened with Add Block. It is grouped by job and it has a search box, which matters now that there are far more than seventeen.
