Template · Museums & Cultural Sites
The full exhibit story, curator notes, and audio — next to the object. Without reprinting.
A Marker next to each exhibit object or case. Visitors tap to get the full written description, curator commentary, a related audio clip or video, and a link to explore more in the collection — all in one tap, no app required. String the exhibits together with a visitor passport and the route earns a reward at the last stop.
What's in this template

How museums use this template
Build before opening day
Create an Experience for each object during installation. By the time the exhibit opens, every Marker is live and visitors get the full story from day one.
Update when loans return or items move
When a loaned piece comes back or an object moves to a new gallery, update the Experience in NearField. The Marker doesn't change — only the content behind it.
Analytics show which exhibits resonate
See which objects get the most taps, how long visitors spend with each piece, and which links they follow. Use that data to inform future curation decisions.
Printed labels can't include audio. Rented devices get lost.
A Marker costs less than a single rented audio guide handset and gives every visitor access from their own phone. No checkout desk. No battery management. No devices returned sticky or broken.
